THE TRUSTLINE CLUB · BUILDERS + XRPL LEARNING
THE BACKROOM LAB
The Trustline Club's developer-progression paths for reading XRP Ledger evidence. Devnet and Testnet only. No wallet connection is required to start. This learning area is not a token or collectible sale, not an investment product, and not a replacement for XRPL.org, public RPC operators, or explorers.
Same Ledger. Higher Standards. Learn to read the ledger before anyone asks you to trust it.
FOUNDING GUIDE
TRUSTLINE TERRY
Skeptical. Curious. Helpful. Terry opens the door to The Trustline Club. In the Backroom Lab he stays a teacher: he points at JSON-RPC fields, names honest unknowns, and refuses seeds. He does not sell memberships and he does not ask you to sign.
- No wallet for the first learning experience.
- No Mainnet writes. No signing. No seed or secret fields.
- Native XRPL RPC is primary. XRPL.org docs and explorers are supplemental.

COLLECTION PILLARS
“Collection” here means a set of study habits. It is separate from the Trustline Terry Genesis collectible line and from $TERRY — nothing on this page issues, sells, or awards either.
LEARN
Short stories that explain a real JSON-RPC method in plain language.
VERIFY
Evidence over hype. Re-read the same pin on the official docs and a public server.
BUILD
Practical read-only skills you can reuse in your own Devnet experiments.
CONNECT
Optional text-only notes stored on this device. Not a social-club token and not a Mainnet identity.
SIX PATHS
LEARNING PATHS
Different roles, the same rule: read evidence, say what it proves, and stop before hype.

NEWCOMER
NEWCOMER — XRPL BASICS
Learn what a validated ledger pin is, using a read-only ledger request. No wallet.

DEVELOPER
DEVELOPER — NATIVE API BUILDS
See the exact JSON-RPC shape for account_info and which AccountRoot fields matter.

ISSUER
ISSUER — TOKEN EVIDENCE
Read issuer flags and lines. “Issuer verified” here only means documented evidence was observed.

INVESTIGATOR
INVESTIGATOR — TRANSACTION PROOF
Look up a transaction hash. Learn found vs not found vs a destination-tag requirement.

EVIDENCE CLERK — EXPLAIN THE LEDGER
Practice Fact vs Meaning vs Risk. Explain what a response proves — and what it does not.

LEGEND
EVIDENCE STATES
Color is never the only signal. Each state has an icon, a plain-language summary, and expandable detail. Not found, not evaluated, and RPC unavailable answer different questions. An outage is never a negative protocol conclusion.
FOUND
Required evidence was observed at the pinned ledger or transaction.
PENDING
A request is in flight or required evidence is still awaiting a response.
NOT FOUND
The method looked and reported semantic absence (actNotFound or txnNotFound).
FREEZE CONDITION
A freeze-related flag was observed on the account or trustline.
TAG REQUIRED
Destination-tag requirement was observed on the account or payment.
RPC UNAVAILABLE
The public learning RPC could not be reached. This is not a ledger conclusion.
NOT EVALUATED — DISTINCT FROM NOT FOUND
Not evaluated is the empty starting state. It is not not found (a look that returned absence) and not RPC unavailable (a look that could not be completed).
SIMPLE STEPS
HOW IT WORKS
1
CHOOSE A PATH
Pick one of the six learning paths. The first path never asks for a wallet, seed, or signature.
2
USE DEVNET
Exercises default to Devnet. Testnet is an explicit pick, never a silent failover. Mainnet writes and signing are out of scope. Live Mainnet checks stay on /check.
3
READ THE EVIDENCE
Open the state, the pin (ledger or transaction), and the named fields. Expand the legend when a color is not enough.
4
EARN PROGRESS
Ordinary local progress: started, exercise completed, evidence reviewed, track completed. No NFT, no token, no credential drop.
