DEVELOPER — NATIVE API BUILDS
Builders talk to the ledger with JSON-RPC. A request is a method name plus a params object. account_info returns an AccountRoot when the account exists at the pin. This path uses a documented fixture account and never asks you to paste a seed. Optional reading: https://xrplcluster.com/ documents HTTP POST/GET, WebSocket, and SSE transports plus health/rate-limit signals for a public Mainnet-oriented cluster (XRPL Labs / community). Club live exercises still use Devnet/Testnet only. Never fail over protocol errors; outages are RPC unavailable.
First learning experience: no wallet connect, no seed, no Mainnet write. Built using XRP Ledger-native APIs. Independent community project. No endorsement implied.
SHORT LESSONS
01
Method plus params, nothing else
A public request looks like { method, params: [{ account, ledger_index, strict }] }. There is no API key in this product and no wallet adapter.
02
AccountRoot fields are observations
Balance, OwnerCount, and Flags are ledger fields. Personality copy (Terry's reading) is interpretation. Keep them separate.
03
Absence has two different machines states
actNotFound means the account is not in that ledger. A timeout means the provider was unavailable. Do not collapse those into one "failed" story.
READ-ONLY DEVNET EXERCISE
Exact request below. Live mode uses Devnet first, then Testnet. Fixture mode is reproducible evidence for completion when RPC is down. Neither mode signs or submits.

Exercise not evaluated
EVIDENCE
NOT EVALUATED
Not evaluated is the empty starting state. It is not not found (a look that returned absence) and not RPC unavailable (a look that could not be completed).
NETWORK

LEDGER INDEX
unavailable
LEDGER HASH
unavailable
EXPAND PIN + CONTEXT
Provider none · method account_info · additional states none. RPC unavailable is not not-found and not a freeze.
WHAT THIS PROVES
You can issue a native account_info request and name the AccountRoot fields that came back — or recognize actNotFound.
WHAT THIS DOES NOT PROVE
This does not prove you run a node, that you are a network validator, or that the fixture account is someone you should trust on Mainnet.
Official docs (supplemental): XRPL.org: account_info. Explorers can show the same classic address. They do not replace the RPC fields you just named.
