Terry’s Guest List · Season One
Before he kept the door, he stood outside it.
Twelve short chapters set in a noir New York. Each one teaches a single ledger truth, and Terry earns his place at the door one night at a time.
All twelve Season One chapters are published below as complete story treatments, pairing each night at the door with the exact XRP Ledger protocol rule behind the scene.
Outsider
Outside the rope.

Outside the Velvet Rope
A soaked outsider named Terry learns that a famous ticker is not an identity.
Ledger truthNames create recognition; an exact currency-and-issuer pair establishes the asset being discussed.
"Same name. Different door." · "Check the whole ticket."
The First Trustline
Terry follows the blank invitation into a ledger archive and discovers that trust is specific, directional and conditional.
Ledger truthA trustline is an account relationship with a specific issued currency; it is not a universal endorsement.
Trainee · Evidence clerk
On probation.

The Borrowed Suit
The club offers Terry one probationary shift, but the uniform is too large and the guest list is worse.
Ledger truthEvidence work begins with disciplined inputs, not intuition or presentation.
The Counterfeit Ticket
Two guests arrive with the same ticker; Terry catches the imitation by checking the issuer.
Ledger truthTicker text can be reused. Exact issuer identity distinguishes otherwise lookalike issued currencies.
"Wrong issuer. Wrong door." · "Read the small print."
The Ledger Never Forgets
Terry replaces the club's rumor-filled guest book with evidence pinned to one validated ledger.
Ledger truthA ledger index and hash identify the observed snapshot; conditions can change afterward.
Pressure · Bouncer / finale
Under pressure.

Ten Thousand at the Door
A viral rush overwhelms the entrance, forcing Terry to protect the evidence process from speed itself.
Ledger truthRate limits protect availability and evidence quality; waiting is not rejection.
"Full line. Same standard. Sixty seconds." · "Next."
The Missing Receipt
A guest claims a payment delivered what was requested; Terry finds the receipt cannot prove it.
Ledger truthRequested amount and delivered amount are distinct. An omitted or unavailable delivered amount must not be invented.
"Asked isn't received." · "Keep the fields apart."
The Issuer in the Shadows
An issuer's website disappears, and the crowd demands a verdict Terry cannot honestly give.
Ledger truthAn AccountRoot Domain field and xrp-ledger.toml file are secondary metadata; an unreachable domain is a missing off-ledger claim, not an on-ledger default.
The Broken Guest List
The guest list ends after twenty pages while the line continues around the block.
Ledger truthPaginated account_lines queries return a marker when more ledger objects exist; an unwalked marker means the observed total is a lower bound, not a complete census.
"There's more." · "Count what we saw. Mark what we didn't."
The Appeals Desk
Terry opens a quiet desk where rejected inputs, missing records and unavailable providers receive different answers.
Ledger truthMalformed identifiers (invalid_id), absent ledger entries (actNotFound or txnNotFound), and RPC timeouts (unavailable) are distinct states that require distinct remedies.
"Different reason. Different next move." · "Next appeal."
Keep Your Keys
A desperate guest offers Terry a seed phrase as proof, and Terry draws the line that defines the entire club.
Ledger truthPublic XRP Ledger verification requires only an r-address, X-address, or transaction hash; no legitimate verification tool ever asks for a seed, secret, or private key.
"Keep your keys." · "Public evidence only. You keep control."
No Trustline. No Entry.
Terry returns to the door in a suit that finally fits and makes evidence the permanent house rule.
Ledger truthBefore submitting a TrustSet transaction and locking an XRP owner reserve, inspect the issuer AccountRoot flags, 160-bit currency code, and pinned validated ledger state.
"No trustline. No entry." · "Facts at the door."
